Reminder about Confirmation Individual Meetings
Dear Confirmation Parents,
Thank you to all who have signed up for an individual meeting with Fr. David in preparation for Confirmation! Please note that these meetings are intended to be
in-person, at the parish rectory
(the white building to the right of the Church). Please let me know if you have any questions.
To recap, Fr. David would like to ask all students preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation to schedule an individual thirty-minute meeting with him, so that he and I can get to know each candidate for Confirmation and offer encouragement in preparation for the sacrament. We have found these individual meetings to be very fruitful in the past and are happy to be able to schedule them again this year. Please go to

I want to emphasize that this informal meeting
is not a test
. Father David and I will be asking some questions about their preparation for Confirmation and will be offering them encouragement in their practice of the faith.

The Archdiocese of Washington has announced that Bishop Dorsonville is scheduled to administer the sacrament of Confirmation at St. Aloysius Church on
Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 7:00 PM
. Bishop Dorsonville is an auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese and has celebrated Confirmation here several times in the past. We look forward to welcoming him again.
Rehearsal for the sacrament of Confirmation will be held the night before on
Tuesday, October 12
at 7:00 PM
In preparation for the sacrament, we ask all students preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation to attend four short Sunday evenings of reflection on Sunday,
September 12, September 19, September 26, and October 3
from 6:30 to 8:30 PM in the parish hall. Dinner will be provided.
All who would like to be Confirmed as asked to write a short, simple letter to the bishop in order to introduce themselves and formally request the sacrament. A template for the letter can be found
